With the El Niño forecast for this winter and upcoming spring expected to be one of the strongest on record, preparations are underway citywide to ensure we are able to respond during and after significant storm events. The Public Works Department has been hard at work to make sure that catch basis are cleaned and pump stations are operational, while sand bags will be available to the public at these locations in Long Beach:
