The City of Long Beach offers free mulch, including delivery service and a designated pick up spot. Due to the severe and historic drought conditions that California is experiencing, the City is offering mulch to residents who are seeking to replace water-reliant lawn and garden areas. You can sign-up for the delivery service by clicking here, but there is an eight-week wait list. Alternatively, you can visit the self-service Mulch Yard (bring your own bags) at 2702 California Avenue, 90755 (between E Willow St. and E Spring St.), open Tuesday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
