Pets licensed through Long Beach Animal Care Services get a Free Ride Home the first time they are found, skipping a trip to the animal shelter where they might be exposed to potentially sick animals who have also just arrived. Animal care staff will attempt to deliver your pet home immediately provided the owner can be identified via a name and/or license tag or a microchip.
