The Long Beach Area Boy Scouts had a remarkable year in 2014 – eighty (80) young men earned the rank of Eagle Scout; they contributed over 35,000 hours of service; collected 28,000 pounds of food for local pantries; and planted 1,200 trees. I want to be sure to take this time to thank the Boy Scouts organization, their supportive families, and all the volunteers who work extremely hard to develop our future leaders and improve Long Beach on a daily basis!
